MITCHELL — The floor of the Palace was home to the Class AA SoDak 16 boys state-qualifying round between the Watertown Arrows and the Mitchell Kernels Saturday evening.

The Kernels controlled the contest all night to advance to the Class AA state tournament for the third year in a row.
Mitchell (17-4) advances to play sixth-seeded Pierre in the state quarterfinals on March 16, at the Summit Arena in Rapid City.
