PETMV, Chamberlain gymnastics compete in Wagner

WAGNER -- A pair of area gymnastics teams were at the top of the team standings at the Wagner quad on Saturday.

Parkston/Ethan/Hanson/Mount Vernon won the meet with 120.05 points, followed by Chamberlain (116.8) in second. Vermillion (110.6) took third, while Wagner/Bon Homme ended in fourth with 97.75 points.

Allison Hough finished second in all-around with 31.45 points for Chamberlain. Amilia Jones (30.9) took fourth. Hough and Jones paced the Cubs in every event.

Hough took second on the beam (8.05) and bars (7.95), while tying with Jones for fifth on vault (7.9). Jones also took third on floor (8.5), fourth on the beam (7.45) and fifth on bars (7.05). Grace DuVall scored 8.05 points on floor to take fifth, as well.
