PARKSTON-Jake DeLange had two hits and three RBIs in Parkston/Ethan's 6-5 victory over Wagner/Avon/Lake Andes on Monday in Parkston.
Josh Rands also collected two hits for Parkston/Ethan, while Jesse Grosdidier picked up the victory on the mound. Grosdidier pitched 5.1 innings, gave up five runs (one earned) and picked up two strikeouts.
Parkston/Ethan jumped on Wagner/Avon/Lake Andes starting pitcher Caden Kazena in the first inning, picking up five runs on four hits and three walks.
Wagner/Avon/Lake Andes managed to score four runs in the fourth inning, despite just one hit for the entire game. Mato Perry had two runs scored and Kainen Blaha had the lone hit, a double for W/A/LA. Blaha had three RBIs and Nathan Kucera knocked in two runs.
Parkston/Ethan (2-0) hosts Bon Homme/Scotland on Thursday, while W/A/LA (0-2) is off until a April 18 game in Wagner against Bon Homme/Scotland.
