Well this is snow fun.
The season-opening game for the Mitchell High School boys basketball team will have to wait a day. A December snowstorm rolled through southeastern South Dakota on Friday, postponing the Kernels' first game of the year.
The Mitchell boys were scheduled to play Huron at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Corn Palace. Now, the varsity girls game will begin at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, and the boys contest at 6:30 p.m. Subvarsity games will begin at 2:30 p.m.
