CRETE, Neb. -- Dakota Wesleyan University men's basketball coach Matt Wilber wondered how his team would react after suffering its first loss of the season.

The No. 4 Tigers answered Wednesday's loss to Dordt College with a resounding 90-65 win over Doane College on Saturday.

"I was proud of our effort and the way we responded," Wilber said. "I thought we played a very consistent, mature basketball game today."

Junior guard Trae Bergh led the way offensively for DWU (12-1, 5-1 GPAC) with 28 points, while senior guard Kris Menning chipped in with 21 points. Senior forward Jalen Voss rounded out the scoring recording 18 points.

"Obviously, (Kris and Trae) shot the ball really well," Wilber said. "When you put up those kinds of numbers, it's hard to lose games. We set good screens and set those guys up, we played a really solid offensive game."
