SIOUX FALLS-Mitchell White ended pool play 0-4 at the Class A 13-and-under state baseball tournament after it dropped two games on Saturday.

Mitchell fell to Yankton 12-1 in five innings to start the day, then lost 16-1 to Sioux Falls East.

In the first game, Mitchell struck first as Dylan Soulek singled in Lukas Bennett in the first inning to give it a 1-0 lead. However, Mitchell was held to one hit the rest of the game.

After shutting out Yankton for three innings, the Reds scored one in the fourth and 11 runs in the fifth.

Soulek led Mitchell with two hits, while Bennett and Tanner Puetz each chipped in one.

On the mound, Soulek received the loss, allowing eight earned runs in 2/3 innings. Landon Waddell struck out six and gave up four earned runs on three hits and seven walks over his 4 1/3-inning start.

Mitchell was no-hit and committed seven errors in its loss to Sioux Falls East to end pool play. That said, Mitchell still scored in the fourth when Bennett walked with the bases loaded. Mitchell walked eight times as a team. Pitcher Aaron Siemsen was hurt by Mitchell's fielding in the loss. He allowed 10 unearned runs in three innings and took the loss.

Mitchell White finishes the season 11-29.
