Mitchell holds top average score for Class AA in latest South Dakota gymnastics rankings

Kernels rank first in Class AA gymnastics while Madison is first in Class A

The top South Dakota gymnastics scores of the 2021-22 season so far were announced on Dec. 28, 2021 with Mitchell and Madison sitting at the top of Class AA and Class A, respectively.

The Kernels, who have scored at least 145.6 points in every event this season, have an average of 146.770, and a top score of 148.700, which was achieved on Dec. 18 at the Kernels' Jill McCormick Invitational. Sioux Falls O'Gorman is second on average score with 143.460, followed by Harrisburg (141.140), Watertown (140.040) and Yankton (135.740).

The next ranking will be announced on Feb. 1, 2022.
