The Mitchell Middle School and High School football programs will hold a handful of free camps in the coming days.
The Mitchell Middle School Football Camp for grades 7-8 will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. For more information, contact Brett Flemmer at 507-530-3162.
A camp for linemen will be held for grades 9-12 at 6 p.m. Thursday and grades 7-12 from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday. For more information, contact Eric Witte at 354-1481.
The Kernels will also put on a youth football camp at 6 p.m. each day July 30 to Aug. 2 for grades 3-6. For more information, contact Kent VanOverschelde at 770-7264.
All camps will be held at the east practice field behind Mitchell High School. No pre-registration is required. Participants should wear a t-shirt and shorts and football cleats, and the camps will focus on fundamentals ahead of the upcoming season.
