SIOUX FALLS-The Mitchell Elite boys basketball team won the U13 Orange Division at the Sanford Pentagon Summer Slam Tournament on Friday in Sioux Falls.
Mitchell Elite went undefeated in the two-day tournament.
On Thursday, Mitchell beat Pentagon-LaCroix 41-37 and defeated the Dakota Cougars 48-41 in overtime to earn the top seed in the A Pool.
On Friday, Mitchell beat Pentagon-LaCroix 46-33 to advance to the championship game and then beat the Dakota Cougars 48-34 in the championship game.
Mitchell Elite is 18-3 in summer tournament play and the team will compete in the Mid America Youth Basketball Sioux Falls Shootout July 22-24 in Sioux Falls.
