LAKE ANDES -- Ethan Cooper's 22 points led Mitchell Christian past Andes Central 57-29 on Friday. Cooper also grabbed 10 rebounds to record a double-double.
"The kids came out ready to play tonight," Mitchell Christian head coach Dennis Martin said. "We were concerned about coming back after a hard game last night, but we came out to play and the kids distributed the ball well."
Martin said he was impressed with how efficient his players were on the offensive end.
"We did a really good job of taking care of the basketball tonight," Martin said. "The kids were patient and made all the right passes, that showed in the final score."
Austin Bormann tallied 15 points for the Golden Eagles, while Major Kur had eight points and led the team with seven assists.

Andes Central was led by J.B. Bruguier, who had 14 points and five assists.
Mitchell Christian (3-0) faces Minneapolis Patrick Henry, Minn., in the Mike Miller Classic on Dec. 27 in Mitchell, while Andes Central (0-2) faces Freeman Academy on Monday in Freeman.

Golden Eagle girls win 42-20
LAKE ANDES -- The Mitchell Christian girls basketball team bounced back from a loss on Thursday to defeat Andes Central 42-20 on Friday in Lake Andes.
Emily Reynen scored a game-high 18 points, while Ashley Schmit and Lindsay Thompson chipped with 10 and nine points, respectively.
Andes Central was led by Tearanie Stotz, who finished the game with six points.

The Golden Eagles play in the Huron Classic on Dec. 27. Andes Central (0-3) plays at Freeman on Monday.
