The Mitchell Black teener baseball team picked up a pair of wins against Aberdeen and Yankton on Tuesday in Mitchell.

Mitchell beat Aberdeen 10-2 and outlasted Yankton 7-6.

Against Yankton, Cody Gillen hit a leadoff triple in the bottom of the seventh inning and scored on Brady Hawkins' game-winning hit. Hawkins started for Mitchell and recorded 10 strikeouts in six innings pitched.

Against Aberdeen, Jackson Sadler started on the mound for Mitchell, allowing one hit in three innings pitched.

Hawkins went 3-for-4 and Gillen went 1-for-2 with an RBI.

Mitchell Black (10-3) plays in a tournament starting on Friday in Brandon Valley.
