HURON -- Mitchell Black snapped a six-game losing skid by taking both games of a twin bill against Huron on Monday in teener baseball action.
In Game 1, Mitchell was able to hold on for a 4-3 win and then put forth its best offensive performance of the season in an 18-8 Game 2 win.
Mitchell Black scored three runs in the third inning, but an RBI single in the fifth by Carter Miller proved to be the difference in the Game 1 win.
Huron scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth and had two runners on base in the bottom of the sixth before Dylan Soulek recorded a pop fly to end the game.
Miller finished the game 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs, while Lukas Bennett was 2-for-3 and drove in a run.

Soulek was a perfect 3-for-3, driving in four runs and scoring three runs, while Carson Podhrasky drove in three runs on a 2-for-3 day at the plate. Miller also went 3-for-3 and added a pair of RBIs. Noah Larson and Tanner Puetz added two hits, two RBIs and two runs apiece.
Hudson Haley gave up one earned run on three hits and seven walks in 3 2/3 innings on the mound.
Mitchell (12-25-2) returns to the diamond in a doubleheader at Yankton at 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
