Mitchell Black lost two in a row in Sioux Falls

The Mitchell Black teeners recorded 13 hits in the 8-5 loss to Sioux Falls West in Game 1 and allowed 15 hits in the 21-7 loss to Hutchinson in Game 2

SIOUX FALLS -- The Mitchell Black teeners recorded 13 hits in the 8-5 loss to Sioux Falls West in Game 1 and allowed 15 hits in the 21-7 loss to Hutchinson in Game 2 at a tournament in Sioux Falls.

In Game 1, Denzel Kelley led the team in hits with three. Hudson Borgan, Parker Mandel, A.J. Wilber, and Ben Wilber each had two while Tyler Sanderson and Mason Herman each had one.

Ben Wilber had two RBIs for the game while A.J. Wilber and Kelley had one each. Sanderson took the loss in this one throwing 1 ⅔ innings allowing three hits and five runs, but struck out two. Kelley pitched 3 ⅓ innings for Mitchell, allowing five hits and three runs.

In Game 2, Mitchell finished with nine hits and four errors. Esten Schlimgen had two hits along with A.J. Wilber. Landon Soulek, Hudson Borgan, Mason Herman, Parker Mandel, and Denzel Kelley had one hit each.

Soulek took the loss for Mitchell allowing 12 runs and eight hits. Borgan pitched 4 ⅓ innings for Mitchell and allowed nine runs and six hits.
