Mitchell Black failed to contain Aberdeen at the plate on Wednesday at Cadwell Park, leading to it being swept. Aberdeen took the first game 10-4, then completed the sweep with an 11-3 victory.
Aberdeen jumped out to a 7-2 advantage after two innings in the first game, using six hits to power past Mitchell. Carter Miller suffered the loss as he gave up seven runs (four earned) on two hits and eight walks.
Mitchell finished with five hits, including Lukas Bennett hitting a double in the first inning. Dylan Soulek drove in a run, too. Aberdeen’s Andrew Anderson earned the win as he slowed down Mitchell’s offense, allowing three earned runs over 3 2/3 innings.
In Game 2, Aberdeen blew open a 3-0 lead with a seven-run fourth inning. Mitchell, which committed five errors, scored three runs in the fourth and fifth but couldn’t complete a comeback.
Noah Larson went 1-for-2 with two RBIs and Soulek also drove in a run. Peyton Schroder gave up nine runs (six earned) in 3 1/3 innings as he took the loss. He also struck out two batters.

For Aberdeen, Cody Sippel allowed an unearned run during his four-inning start. It had seven hits as a team.
Mitchell (7-14-2) hosts Brandon Valley today.
