MCM racks up 500 yards on Garretson to stay unbeaten

GARRETSON -- Flooding pushed the game from Friday to Saturday, but it did not hamper McCook Central/Montrose.

The Fighting Cougars racked up 543 yards of total offense and never trailed in a 34-14 win over Garretson in prep football action.

Blake Gessner ran for 120 yards and two touchdowns, while Jacobi Krouse ran for 118 yards and a touchdown as MCM ran for 304 yards.

Raygen Randall also went 15 of 34 for 198 yards, with touchdown passes to Joe Loudenburg and Cody Miles. Tight end Koltan Lindstrom had 11 receptions for 109 yards.

Dylan Kindt was 7 of 18 for 101 yards and a touchdown for the Blue Dragons.

McCook Central/Montrose (4-0) hosts Class 11B No. 1 Bridgewater-Emery/Ethan on Friday in Salem. Garretson (2-2) travels to Flandreau on Friday.
