McCook Central/Montrose finished in a three-way tie with Beresford and Flandreau atop the Big East Conference girls basketball standings this season, and a result, the Fighting Cougars placed two players on the first-team all-conference squad released Friday.

Sophomore Madisen Koepsell and junior Abigail Van Ruler were both selected to the first team, while Jacy Pulse was voted to the second and Morgan Erikson earned third-team honors. McKenna Kranz and Ashtyn Wobig were honorable mention picks for MCM.

Lindstrom lands on all-Big East second-team

MCM placed fifth in the Big East boys standings this year and junior Kolton Lindstrom received second-team honors, while senior Trey Anderson was voted to the third team. MCM's Rylee Klinkhammer and Isaac McCormick were honorable mention selections.
