SALEM-The McCook Central/Montrose girls golf team placed third in the Region 1A tournament on Tuesday in Salem.
MCM carded a team score of 401, while Madison won the eight-team event with a score of 367.
Taylor Reif finished in fourth place with a score of 89, Kayla Mentele took sixth place with a 93 and Katie Reif took 10th with a 100. Madison's Samantha Langford won the individual title with a 79.
MCM will compete in the Class A girls golf state tournament on Monday and Tuesday in Hot Springs.
