SIOUX FALLS-The Mitchell Marlins girls hockey team dropped a pair of games to Sioux Falls in this weekend in Sioux Falls.
The Marlins lost 13-5 to the Sioux Falls Flyers on Saturday in Sioux Falls and dropped an 8-0 contest to the Flyers on Sunday in Sioux Falls.
On Saturday, Mitchell was tied 2-2 after one period, but was outscored by Sioux Falls 11-3 in the final two periods.
Grace Halvorson recorded a hat trick for Mitchell, scoring three goals and assisting on another. Ashley Jones added one goal and two assists, while Maddy Arnold added a goal and Isabel Bathke had two assists in the loss.
The Marlins finished the game with 29 shots. Goalie Becca Weber had 21 saves.

On Sunday, Mitchell finished the game with 21 shots, while Sioux Falls had 36.
Mitchell goalie Ashley Zimmer had 27 saves in the loss.
Mitchell (3-7) plays Sioux Falls on Dec. 31 in Mitchell.
