The Mitchell Marlins girls hockey team couldn't sustain any momentum on the ice on Sunday, falling to Aberdeen 9-0 at the Mitchell Activities Center in Mitchell.

Hailey Holland led Aberdeen with four goals.

Mitchell goalie Katie Uithoven made 32 saves on 41 shots. Mitchell was outshot 41-13.

The Marlins (1-2) take on Rushmore at 8 p.m. on Friday.
