PIERRE-The Mitchell Marlin girls hockey team dropped a 1-0 contest to the Oahe Capitals on Sunday in Pierre.

After two scoreless periods, the Capitals broke through with a goal in the third period.

Mitchell finished the game with 23 shots, while Oahe had 30 shots. Marlin goalie Katelyn Uithoven recorded 29 saves in the loss.

On Saturday, Mitchell fell 8-1 to Brookings in Mitchell. Jenna Grosdidier scored the lone goal for the Marlins, while Uithoven had 31 saves.

Mitchell (5-9-1) plays Sioux Falls on Saturday in Mitchell.
