DULUTH, Minn. -- The Mitchell Marlin boys hockey team split on the opening day of the Duluth (Minn.) tournament on Friday.

In the first game, Mitchell fell to Minnetonka (Minn.) 5-1. Spencer Neugebauer scored the lone goal for the Marlins, while Jesse Grosdidier recorded an assist.

The Marlins rebounded and came out with a 10-5 victory over Duluth. Bryce Geraets, Matt Muth, Jacob Thill and Jacob Cersosimo each had two goals, and Grosdidier and Jacob Rice each added a goal in the win.

Thunder Bay (Ontario) at 5:30 p.m. today in Duluth. The Marlins conclude tournament play Sunday.
