The Mitchell boys hockey team scored three unanswered goals en route to defeating Aberdeen 4-1 on Saturday night at the Mitchell Activities Center.

The Marlins (4-2) had a 3-1 lead with five minutes to play in the third period when the Cougars pulled their goalie. With less than a minute on the clock, Mitchell's Jacob Thill scored on an open net to secure the win.

Mitchell was led in scoring by Jordan Grosdidier, who had two goals and added an assist. Jacob Cersosimo recorded one goal and an assist, Jacob Rice and Spencer Neugebauer each had an assist and Kyle Biggerstaff recorded two assists.

Aberdeen's goal was scored by Braxton Farmen in the first period.

Marlin goalie Tate Sutherland made 21 saves on 22 shots on goal. Mitchell made 34 shots on goal in the game.
