Kennedy Leiferman’s game-high 32 points guided Kimball/White Lake to a 54-43 girls basketball win over Mitchell Christian on Thursday.
The WiLdKats jumped out to a 21-8 lead after the first quarter, and then led 33-22 at halftime. MCS cut it to single-digits, 45-37, at the end of the third quarter, but KWL held on for its second straight win.
Leiferman scored 22 of her points in the first half, as she drained four 3-pointers in the win. Hannah Havlik chipped in seven points for the WiLdKats.
Whisper Eben scored a team-high 13 points for the Golden Eagles. Audrey Hofer added 12 points and Maggie Reynen finished with 11 points.
KWL (2-2) travels to Chamberlain on Tuesday. MCS (1-3) hosts Wessington Springs on Saturday.
