Knippling's double-double lifts Chamberlain over MCS girls

Chamberlain junior finishes with 21 points and 13 rebounds


CHAMBERLAIN -- Mya Knippling posted a double-double to power Chamberlain to a 55-25 girls basketball win over Mitchell Christian on Saturday.

Knippling finished with 21 points and 13 rebounds. She went 9 of 14 from the field. Behind Knippling’s monster game, the Cubs bolted out to a 20-3 first-quarter lead and a 43-14 halftime advantage. Jayd Chmela and Caycee Guinn scored nine points apiece. Emma Powers recorded eight points.

Audrey Hofer led the Golden Eagles with seven points, while Maggie Reynen and Lindy Hofer scores six points apiece.

Mitchell Christian (3-13) hosts Sunshine Bible Academy on Monday. Chamberlain (9-8) plays at Lyman on Monday.
