"I saw a lot of putting that need improvement," Horan said. "That's kind of always the case, so we'll focus on putting and try and lower that team score."
In the junior varsity dual, Mitchell finished with a team score of 185 and Huron had a 204. Sam Helloid carded a 92 to lead the JV team, while Max Tupper had a 93 and Taylor Uithoven finished with a 94. Kade Clark and Jakob Studer each recorded a 95, while Tate Krcil finished with a 99.
"I was really impressed with those junior varsity scores," Horan said. "It shows, there's a lot of potential varsity players that are coming on pretty good."
Mitchell is back on the course today at the Pierre Invitational in Pierre.
