Mitchell High School girls soccer top goal scorer Mia Mullenmeister and boys standout Kaileb Hubbard were named to their respective Eastern South Dakota Conference all-conference soccer teams for their performance during the 2021 season. Taylin Deckert was also recognized as a girls honorable mention selection.
Mullenmeister, who led the state with 19 goals during the regular season and added two more in the Kernels' opening-round playoff loss to Rapid City Central, and Deckert were key contributors as the Mitchell girls earned the No. 11 seed in the Class AA playoffs, finishing the season with a 5-8-1 record. Mitchell was sixth in the final ESD conference standings.
Hubbard, a junior, was a leader for the Mitchell boys (1-12-0) during their first season with coach Sean McQuillan. Mitchell occupied ninth place in the final conference standings.
