RAPID CITY -- The Mitchell High School wrestling team went 4-0 at the Rapid City duals invite on Saturday.
The Kernels finished with a 72-9 win over Douglas and blanked Lead-Deadwood, 84-0. It also took down Alcester-Hudson (54-25) and Spearfish (51-25).
Against Douglas, Blake Fredericks (195), Quincey Young (138) and Tucker Vilhauer (152) all pinned their opponent. Joe VanOverschelde (182), Brock Elwein (220), Wyatt Winter (285), Spencer Eldeen (106), Cruz Alhizer (113), Jagger Tyler (126), Brock Sparks (132), Tate Elwein (170) and Tyson Degen (160) all picked up a win, as well.
In a win over Spearfish, Eldeen, Tyler, Young and Fredericks each had a pin. Meanwhile, Winter, Alhizer, Sparks and VanOverschelde all picked up another victory.
Chamberlain finished 2-2 in Rapid City. The Cubs fell to Harrisburg (47-23) and Brandon Valley (44-29), but bounced back with wins over Milbank (60-15) and Watertown (43-31).

Against Harrisburg, Canyon Burkard (285) and Dominic Santiago (126) both had a win via fall. Quinn Long (132), Gabe Skustad (145) and Trey Neilan (152) each picked up a win, too.
In a win over Watertown, Chamberlain saw Jackson Soulek (285), Santiago, Skustad and Noah Hutmacher (182) all pin their opponent. Thomas Powell (138), C.J. Yost (170), Wyatt Powers (195) and Gunner Ristau (220) all picked up a win, too.
