HARRISBURG -- The Mitchell High School volleyball team was swept by Harrisburg in an Eastern South Dakota Conference match on Tuesday. Set scores were 25-15, 25-15 and 25-16.
The Tigers, who recorded 37 kills, built big leads in each set on their way to victory. The Kernels (5-9) allowed 13 aces, with Abby Meister recording eight on the night.
Mitchell’s Cameryn Logan led the team with five kills. Amy Tyler and Sarah Sebert both had 16 digs. Katy Sebert handed out eight assists.
Meister also finished with 10 kills and 11 digs. Reese Jansa added eight kills for the Tigers.
The Kernels host No. 2 Sioux Falls Washington on Friday.
