SIOUX FALLS -- The Mitchell High School wrestling team improved to 11-1 in dual action Saturday.
The Kernels picked up wins over Sioux Falls Roosevelt (70-12) and Sioux Falls Washington (54-25) in their last action before Christmas break.
Against Roosevelt, Spencer Eldeen (106 pounds), Kalieb Hubbard (113), Jagger Tyler (126), Brock Sparks (132), Tucker Vilhauer (152), Cordell Kunkel (220) and Wyatt Winter (285) all picked up pins. Brandon Sparks (120) also earned a win via major decision.
Against Washington, Eldeen, Van Long (113), Brandon Sparks, Tyler, Brock Sparks, Tate Ellwein (170), Joe VanOverschelde (182), Blake Fredericks (195) and Winter won their matches via pin.
Mitchell will be at Aberdeen Central on Jan. 31.
