YANKTON -- The Kernel gymnastics team continued its win streak Tuesday, beating Sioux Falls Lincoln and Yankton.
Mitchell recorded its second straight team score of 146 and finished with a 146.2. Lincoln took second with a 133 and Yankton was third with a 130.
"It was nice to show that we could come out for the second meet in a row and show consistency," Mitchell coach Audra Rew said.
The Kernels filled the top five spots in the all-around, with junior Quinci Herll winning with a 37.7. She was followed by senior Rebecca Sadler (36.3), junior Emily Prill (35.65), freshman Bailey Roden (34.75) and eighth-grader Maria Krall (34.65).
Herll also took first on floor, beam and floor, while Sadler won bars.

The Kernels won the JV meet and scored a 124.1. Freshman Mercedes Dufek won the JV meet in the all-around with a 30.75.
Mitchell's varsity team is back in action Saturday at the Aberdeen Invite.
