Huskie boys, Flyer girls each take second at Fighting Cougar Invite

SALEM--The Bridgewater-Emery boys track and field team and the Freeman girls team each finished in second place at the Fighting Cougar Invite on Tuesday in Salem.

SALEM-The Bridgewater-Emery boys track and field team and the Freeman girls team each finished in second place at the Fighting Cougar Invite on Tuesday in Salem.

The Huskies finished with 114.5 points, while Freeman finished with 122 points. West Central won the boys (261) and girls (199.5) events in the seven-team meet.

Bridgewater-Emery's Jacob Eddy won the 110 hurdles (18.05) and 300 hurdles (43.6), while the Huskie 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams won with times of 46.27 and 1:37.69, respectively.

McCook Central/Montrose's Jacy Pulse won the 100-meter dash (12.93 seconds), 200 (26.47) and 400 (59.68), while Jocelyn Krouse took first in the 100 hurdles (17.6) and triple jump (34-06.00).

For the Freeman girls, Josie Fuhrmann won the 300 hurdles (52.03) and took second in the 100 hurdles (18.92). The Hanson girls 4x100 relay team took first with a time of 53.13 at the event.
