HOT SPRINGS -- The Platte-Geddes/Dakota Christian high school baseball team beat Hot Springs 19-6 in five innings Sunday.
Trey DeHaan had three hits and three RBIs to lead the way for PG/DC, which had 13 hits as a team.
Jon Werkmeister had a double and a home run, while Michael Buitenbos and Ryan Nepodal each added two hits and two RBIs for the Honkers.
Mike Kimball allowed two earned runs on three hits in three innings of work to pick up the win for PG/DC. Richard Sternberg allowed one run in two innings of relief for the Honkers, who play at Mount Vernon on Wednesday. The junior varsity game is set to begin at 6 p.m. with the varsity game to follow.
