Dakota Wesleyan University guard Nick Harden was named the Great Plains Athletic Conference men's basketball player of the week on Tuesday.

The sophomore from Chicago, Illinois, averaged 24 points per game in two Tiger road wins last week. Harden scored 20 points and had four rebounds in a win at Northwestern College and then followed it up with a 28-point, six-assist, three-steal performance against Hastings on Sunday.

Harden is averaging 18.9 points per game and a GPAC-best 2.6 steals per game in his first season on the court for DWU after transferring from Midland University.

DWU hosts Briar Cliff at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Corn Palace.
