HOT SPRINGS -- Led by Amilia Jones and Allison Hough, the Chamberlain gymnastics team took second at the Hot Springs Invitational on Saturday.
Hot Springs won its home invite with 126.50 points, while the Cubs totaled 122.60. Wall/Kadoka Area/Philip finished in third with 115.20 and Stanley County (80.10) took fourth.
Jones earned a personal-best 32.95 points to win the all-around. Meanwhile, Hough took fourth place.
Jones was powered by a first-place finish in beam, third in bars, fourth in floor and fifth in vault. She set a personal-best 8.90 mark in beam.
Hough had a trio of second-place finishes. She placed second in floor, vault and bar. Grace DuVall placed fifth in both floor and beam, while Kathrinn Hopkins took fourth in vault.
Chamberlain competes in the Stanley County Invite on Jan. 11 in Fort Pierre.
