GREGORY -- Gregory won the 32nd Annual Gregory Volleyball Invitational on Saturday at the Gregory Memorial Auditorium. Lyman, Chamberlain, Colome, Edgemont and St. Francis Indian were all participants in this year's Gregory Invitational.
Gregory defeated Chamberlain 25-8 and 25-14 in the championship match. Gregory advanced to the championship by winning pool No. 1. Gregory went undefeated in pool No. 1 to advance to the title match.
Gregory defeated Colome 25-20 and 25-13 and beat Edgemont 25-21 and 25-18 in pool play.
Jessy Jo Vanderwerff had 18 kills and 10 ace serves in the tournament for Gregory. Brooklynn Kenzy had 19 kills and 20 assists. Mya Determan led the team with 20 kills and 5 blocks while Gracie Kenzy had 27 assists and 7 ace serves. Kodi Timanus added 4 blocks while Gregory as a team had 17 total blocks for the tournament.
In other pool No. 1 scores, Edgemont beat Colome 25-20 and 25-22.

In pool No. 2, Lyman beat St. Francis 25-22 and 25-13.
Chamberlain also beat St. Francis 25-5 and 25-15. Chamberlain defeated Lyman 25-22 and 25-9 to reach the championship match.
In the matchup for fifth place, Colome won against St. Francis in straight sets 25-15 and 25-11. Edgemont beat Lyman in the third place match 25-13 and 25-23.
Gregory travels to Wagner for a match on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
