SIOUX CITY, Iowa-Morningside College's Hallie Misiaszek was named the Great Plains Athletic Conference softball pitcher of the week. The Mitchell native helped lead the Mustangs to a 25-8 regular-season record, including winners of their last four.
This season, the senior is 17-3 with a 1.39 ERA and 105 strikeouts in 136 1/3 innings. Morningside is set to host the College of Saint Mary at noon Thursday in Sioux City, Iowa, in the first round of the GPAC tournament.
