WATERTOWN-Behind Lexi Wadsworth's 22 points, Hamlin downed Webster 58-52 in the third-place game at Class A girls basketball state tournament on Saturday at the Watertown Civic Center in Watertown.
Wadsworth added 13 rebounds for a double-double, while Grace West and Brynn Alfson each added eight points.
Haley Rithmiller scored a game-high 31 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for a double-double in a losing effort for the Bearcats.

Dell Rapids 71, McLaughlin 62
WATERTOWN-Dell Rapids defeated McLaughlin 71-62 in the seventh-place game of the Class A girls basketball state tournament on Saturday at the Watertown Civic Center in Watertown.
Mikaela Stofferahn scored a game-high 21 points to lead the Quarriers, while Arial Horffman added 14 points and Lindsey Morris added chipped in 13 points.
Tariq Brownotter led McLaughlin with 19 points in the loss.

WATERTOWN-Elk Point-Jefferson held off West Central 46-43 to earn the consolation championship at the Class A girls basketball state tournament on Saturday at the Watertown Civic Center in Watertown.
McKenzie Mennenga scored a game-high 13 points, while Elsie Aslesen added 10 points and Payton Donnelly chipped in eight points and 11 rebounds. EPJ went 17-of-52 from the field for 32 percent shooting in the win.
Ashlyn Macdonald led West Central with 10 points and the Trojans went 14-of-47 from the field for 29 percent shooting in the loss.

Class B girls basketball state tournament
Faith 40, Wall 26
HURON-Kailyn Groves scored 18 points to push Faith past Wall in the seventh-place game at the Class B girls basketball state tournament on Saturday at the Huron Arena in Huron.

Groves pulled down seven rebounds in the win as Faith went 15-of-43 from the field for 34 percent shooting.
Wall was led by Monica Bielmaier, who scored seven points in the loss. Wall went 7-of-31 from the field for 22 percent shooting and committed 28 turnovers.

Irene-Wakonda 49, Leola/Frederick 35
HURON-Irene-Wakonda's Caitlin Hinseth scored 23 points to lead the Eagles to a fifth-place finish by beating Leola/Frederick 49-35 at the Class B girls basketball state tournament on Saturday at the Huron Arena in Huron.
Taylor Lee added nine points for IW, which went 20-of-47 from the field for 42 percent shooting in the win.
MacKenzie Heilman recorded 10 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double in the loss for Leola/Frederick, which went 10-of-41 from the field for 24 percent shooting and committed 20 turnovers in the loss.
