Today, at the Corn Palace, the Mitchell High School boys basketball team hosts Watertown in an Eastern South Dakota Conference game.

Time: 7 p.m.

Records: Mitchell (5-5, 5-3 ESD); Watertown (3-4, 3-3 ESD).

Notes: Mitchell has lost five straight games after starting the season 4-0. The Kernels are led by senior Beau Brown, who is averaging 26.4 points per game and has recorded 30 or more points in four games. He has 4.7 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 2.6 steals per contest this season. Mitchell is coming off a 54-47 win over the Huron Tigers on Thursday in Huron. Watertown is on a two-game winning streak having defeated Huron and Brandon Valley in its last two games. Watertown beat Huron 69-66 in overtime on Jan. 9 and the Arrows defeated Brandon Valley 49-48 on Tuesday.
