A quartet of Mitchell High School football players were selected to the all-Eastern South Dakota Conference team this week.
Seniors Josh Grosdidier, Kendall Fick, Joseph Van Overschelde and Adam Fahey were the Kernels' selections.
Grosdider, a 6-foot-2, 210-pound senior, was selected at running back, rushing for 963 yards on 182 carries and seven touchdowns. He had 1,004 all-purpose yards for the Kernels in the backfield and led MHS in scoring with 42 points.
Fick, who stands at 5-foot-9 and 190 pounds and played guard, was an all-conference selection on the offensive line that blocked for 1,904 rushing yards for the season and 2,773 yards of total offense and 23 offensive touchdowns.
The 5-foot-10, 195-pound Van Overschelde was one of four selections at linebacker. In 10 games, he had 85 total tackles, including 42 unassisted stops, 14 tackles for loss and two sacks

The 6-foot-2, 185-pound defensive end Fahey was among the all-ESD selections on the defensive line. He made 32 tackles on the season, including seven tackles for a loss and three sacks and a fumble recovery.
