South Dakota Miners go 3-0 at HOFACC
DALLAS, Texas -- The South Dakota Miners Youth Club Football Team had a perfect day at the Hall of Fame Academy Classic Championships in Dallas, Texas, on Friday.
The three Miners’ teams all won their first games of the event and in dominating fashion. The Miner sixth graders defeated Minnesota 28-0, while the seventh grade team from South Dakota defeated Team New Jersey 52-0. The Miner eighth graders rolled past Minnesota, 46-6.
The Miners will continue play in the national event Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, the sixth graders will play Team North Texas Ducks and the seventh graders will face Team Frisco Outlaws. The eighth grade team will play Team New Jersey.
The South Dakota Miners have local players from youth football programs in Mitchell, Armour, Kimball, Hanson, Corsica-Stickney, Plankinton, Mount Vernon and Ethan.
