Fifteen DWU athletic programs named NAIA scholar teams

Dakota Wesleyan University saw 15 of its 17 varsity athletic programs named as NAIA scholar teams.

For a team to be considered by the NAIA, it must have a minimum of a 3.0 grade-point average. The DWU women’s basketball team topped the list for the school earning a combined GPA of 3.72, with the men’s soccer team in second with a 3.68. Volleyball had a 3.55 GPA, while te women’s indoor track and field squad had a 3.50 and the women’s golf and outdoor track teams each had a 3.48.

It is the second consecutive year the 15 Tiger teams were named to the NAIA scholar team and the sixth year in a row with at least 14 teams.
