The Tennyson Erickson amateur baseball benefit series will resume on June 29 and 30 at Cadwell Park for a second consecutive season.
The series will consist of five games, starting with the Platte Killer Tomatoes and Madison Broncos at 8 p.m. on June 29. On Saturday, June 30, Mount Vernon plays Redfield at 1 p.m., followed by Parkson and Crofton, Nebraska. Two-time defending Class B state champion Alexandria will take on Harrisburg in a rematch of the Class B state semifinals in 2017, and Winner-Colome facing the Sioux Falls Brewers are the final games on June 30.
All proceeds will go to help defray expenses for Erickson's cancer treatments. Erickson, a Platte area native, has been living in Sioux Falls in order to be closer to medical treatment since his diagnosis of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
