DWU's Pick ties for first

DAKOTA DUNES--Dakota Wesleyan University golfer Russell Pick carded a 73 to tie for first place after the first round at the Briar Cliff University Mini Tour on Monday at Dakota Dunes Country Club in Dakota Dunes.

Pick was playing as an individual at the tournament, while the Tigers team finished the day in seventh place with a team score of 330. Northwestern College leads 12-team, two-day event with a tally of 296.

Tom Hogg carded an 81 to lead the DWU team, while Tyler Burr finished with an 82. Cal Wiese (83), Anthony Husher (84) and Michael Whitney (93) rounded out the team score for the Tigers.

DWU finishes the tournament today in Dakota Dunes.
