Dakota Wesleyan University junior Travis Johnson was named to the all-Great Plains Athletic Conference first team, it was announced by the league Friday.

Johnson finished tied for fifth in the conference with a four-round total of 308. He also had five top-five finishes, including a season-best second-place finish at the Hastings Invite on April 2. Johnson was also an all-conference selection last year as a sophomore.

"He's meant a lot to our team this year," DWU coach Adam Anderson said. "He's been leading us all spring and he is one of the top players in the GPAC. The younger guys on our team look up to him and hope to follow in his footsteps next year."

Dakota Wesleyan's Josh Korn, a Freeman native, was named to the honorable mention team for the conference.

He finished in a three-way tie for 20th in the individual standings, shooting a four-round total of 302.
