SIOUX CENTER, Iowa-Three schools and Dordt College alumni competed at the Defender Classic cross country meet on Saturday on the Dordt campus.

The Dakota Wesleyan University women's team finished in last with 81 points, while the men didn't qualify as a team as it only had two runners compete. Dordt took home the team title in both races.

Winner native Samantha Schuyler led the Tigers on the women's side with a sixth-place finish, crossing the line in 20:07.52. McKenna Rogers missed finishing in the top 10 by less than a second as her time of 20:32.51 was good enough for 11th. Kelsie King had DWU's other top-20 finish, coming in 19th with a time of 21:06.87.

On the men's side, Brendan Langbehn finished in 25th with a time of 28:26.27, while Bryce Blank crossed the line in 29:29.86 to take 36th.
