Chamberlain's Nickolas Claussen is among 10 athletes that will join the Dakota Wesleyan University wrestling program this 2016-17 season.

Claussen placed third at the state tournament this past season in the 220-pound class. In addition to his third-place finish, he was also a four-year varsity letterwinner. He was also a two-time all-state honorable mention selection for Chamberlain's football team.

The recruiting class includes five total kids from South Dakota, two from Washington and one each from California, Nebraska and Wyoming.

The other athletes that will join the Tigers are Joe Cisneros (Selma, California), John Hunter (Yoder, Wyoming), Jesse Mikurt (Huron), Bailey Norton (Deadwood), Donald Olmstead III (Concreate, Washington), Brady Schleuter (Garretson), Sjon Snitily (Auburn, Washington), Zach Trumble (Aurora, Nebraska) and Noah Westergaard (Wakonda).
