DWU women's golf takes sixth in first spring meet

SHAWNEE, Okla. -- The Dakota Wesleyan University women's golf team took sixth at the St. Gregory University Cavalier Invitational on Tuesday Shawnee, Oklahoma.

SHAWNEE, Okla. - The Dakota Wesleyan University women's golf team took sixth at the St. Gregory University Cavalier Invitational on Tuesday Shawnee, Oklahoma.

DWU carded a team score of 738 (369, 369) in the team's first spring meet. Oklahoma Baptist won the event with a score of 666.

Individually, Lauren Fitts took second after two 80 rounds for a score of 160. Taylor Anshutz tied for 23 with a score of 187, while April Barnett tied for 28 with a 192. Rachael Horner carded a 202 and Niki Nelson finished with a 207.

The Tigers compete at the Great Plains Athletic Conference Qualifier No. 3 on April 13 in Lincoln, Nebraska.
