ORANGE CITY, Iowa -- Northwestern (Iowa) notched a shutout against the Dakota Wesleyan University women’s soccer team on Saturday. The Tigers weren’t able to net a goal in a 4-0 road loss to the Red Raiders in Great Plains Athletic Conference play.
Northwestern took a 2-0 lead into halftime, with its first goal coming six minutes into the match. It added another pair in the second half against Hannah Bowes, who saved 14 shots.
Courtney Mascarenas and Josephine Bardsley both had a shot for the Tigers, who were out-shot 25-2. Northwestern also had a 4-0 advantage in corner kicks.
DWU (3-7-1, 0-6-1) travels to Jamestown at 5 p.m. Wednesday in Jamestown, North Dakota.
