The Dakota Wesleyan University basketball teams announced changes to their schedules on Monday.
The DWU women’s games against Dordt and Hastings College have been postponed due to COVID-19. This comes after Saturday’s contest against Doane was called off, as well.
“Saturday morning we had players and coaches wake up with symptoms,” DWU athletic director Jon Hart said. “We had to postpone Saturday’s game and had the team tested. Based on the results we got back already and received so far, we got some positive tests. It ended up being the right decision, and that’s kind of why we postponed some games this week, as well.”
The DWU women have been tentatively shut down until Nov. 28, according to Hart. Its next game is scheduled for Dec. 5 at College of St. Mary.
The Tigers and Defenders will play at Sioux Center, Iowa, on Dec. 31. The Tigers will play Hastings at 1 p.m. on Dec. 22.

Both teams will have a rescheduled contest against Doane on Dec. 6. The women will play at 2 p.m., followed by the men at 4 p.m.
DWU also canceled a pair of Hoop City Classic games. It had planned to play Carroll College and Montana Tech, but were called due to those respective teams testing protocols.
