DWU volleyball sweeps College of Saint Mary, qualifies for GPAC tourney

The Dakota Wesleyan University volleyball team made some history on Friday.

With its sweep against the College of Saint Mary, the Tigers qualified for the Great Plains Athletic Conference tournament for the first time in school history. The Tigers defeated the Flames, 25-17, 25-17 and 25-15.

Mitchell graduate Mackenzie Miller led the offense with 10 kills along with a pair of digs. Ady Dwight finished with nine kills for DWU, which recorded 38 kills and recorded just 11 attacking errors. The Tigers recorded 12 blocks on the night.

Mariah Gloe added eight kills and 11 digs. Hanna Reiff finished with 14 digs. Madeline Else posts 33 assists and eight digs.

Dakota Wesleyan (12-7, 8-7 GPAC) will play at Jamestown on Nov. 3.
